I am blessed to be beginning my 13th year in education with 11 of those years in the Todd County School District and two in Russellville Independent School District. I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2011 with teaching certificates in 5-9 mathematics, 5-9 social studies, and 8-12 social studies. I then received my Master’s Degree from the University of the Cumberlands in Teacher as a Leader in 2015. Lastly, I received my Rank I in Educational Administration from Western Kentucky University in 2018. My education career began with teaching 6 years at Todd County Central High School. Three of those years were teaching social studies and three were teaching mathematics while being the head coach of the girl’s soccer team for two years, boy’s soccer team for one year, and girl’s basketball for 3 years. I then ventured to Russellville Jr/Sr High School where I taught social studies at the high school level for one year and 8th grade social studies for another year. I returned home to Todd County Middle School in 2019 where I taught 7th grade social studies for one year and 7th grade math the past three years as well as Athletic Director for TCMS the past year. Being a part of multiple schools in these two districts has provided me with a strong background in finding the best way to help students with many different types of backgrounds.
Outside of the school setting I enjoy time with my wife, Ashley McGhee, who works at the Todd County Water District, and my two sons, Noah and Jace, who attend South Todd Elementary School. In my free time I enjoy travelling to watch sports, golfing, and spending time with friends and family as well as my church family at Westside Church of Christ. I am honored to accept the position as Horizons High School/Todd County Academy Principal where I hope I can be a positive influence to every student I come in contact with.
